It all started when...

I suppose I have actually been drawing since I was able to hold a pencil in my hand. However, staying with it has really been the challenge over the years with the many distractions that one assumes such as work, kids, family, etc. That being said, I've started painting again recently - mostly to pass time on long BART rides. This page represents some of my favorite old pieces dating from Art School and some new ones as well. Now that I've put this out there, I'm challenging myself to keep at it so that in time I can look back at this and see the progression over the years and to be able to judge how I've grown.

One more thing. All of my work is done freehand and I will often paint from photos - meaning I will look at them but I don't trace or do "paint-overs."
