A PASSION FOR ART
Creativity has been a constant throughout my life. Long before it became a profession, it was simply how I explored the world. While my career has centered on leading teams across animation, visual effects, and games, I continue to create for the simple joy of making things—directing music videos, designing album artwork, capturing photographs, and illustrating personal projects. These creative pursuits keep me curious, inspire new ideas, and continually shape the way I think about storytelling.

IN THE TRENCHES
For over 25 years I have been working in the Animation, VFX, and Games industries. I started out doing roto, paint fixes, and basic compositing, and over time those foundations broadened as I pursued additional skills in adjacent departments such as lighting and look development, FX, and DMP. As my career progressed into roles as a CG Supervisor and now as a VFX Supervisor, I have found that maintaining a broad, practical understanding of the entire Animation/VFX pipeline is essential. For that reason I continually work to stay current with emerging tools and workflows, and I push my teams to adopt new techniques that improve both visual quality and production efficiency.

Having a partner and a daughter pursuing careers in music means you get to shoot and make the occasional music video, and that opens up a world of creative opportunity at home. No complaints here — I absolutely love the process because it demands everything I’ve learned across other disciplines and lets me weave those skills together on a tight, fast-moving timeline. It feels more like driving a race car than navigating the slow, deliberate ships of the VFX and animation world, and that speed and focus are exhilarating.
